At Hand Made Books we make lots of custom made orders and strive to offer a friendly, fast service to help you create your ideal book. You can have a notebook that features an old OS map of the area you live in, or a favourite comic, a photo montage or a special musical score on the cover.We have made book covers that feature mathematical equations, dogs and architectural plans - the ideas keep on coming in and just about everything is possible!
Making a Bespoke Book is simple - you just need to dream up the cover, and think about the paper you would like inside (have a look at the Paper Info page). You can choose the colour for the spine material - and even have lettering on embossed onto the spine.Then just drop us a line or give us a call.

How long will my books take to be made?
We try to get your book made within two weeks, depending on the selected book covers and the current workload at the studio, but we always try to accommodate your needs, so just get in touch and we can discuss your timescale. Very urgent orders may cost a little extra.
How much does a Bespoke Book cost?We try to keep the cost of having your perfect book as affordable as possible, so there is only an extra £5 charge to personalise the covers of most of the Ready Made Range. The Ready made Range starts at £10 for a notebook and £25 for a photo album. Postage and packing is £3 per notebook, sent first class recorded to the UK. Please enquire for postage abroad and for larger items, photo albums, etc.
Embossed lettering on a book or album starts at only £10 for up to four words on one line - these can be done down the spine or cover, and can be in gold, silver, black, green, red or blue, and come in a choice of typefaces:
