The Ready Made Range is a collection of ready to use notebooks, albums, sketchbooks and boxes.All the pieces in the range are totally hand made individual pieces, and all the items in the range can be custom made - the Bespoke Books page gives you more information.
Notebooks:
All the notebooks in this Range are traditionally hand made - starting with the large paper sheets being folded and hand sewn to create the book block, and then the covers are individually made.
The covers for the notebooks are made from many different materials - cotton fabrics from Japan, original vintage comic books or maybe hand written vellum indentures.
There are three sizes in the Ready Made Notebook Range -
Small (A7 landscape, 8 x 11cm)
Medium (A6 portrait, 15.5cm x 11cm)
Large (A5 portrait or landscape, 21.5 x 15.5cm)
The paper inside the notebooks is very special, UK made recycled paper - for more info have a look at the Paper Info page. Each notebook comes with a luggage label to tell you about the particular paper inside that book.
The Range is always changing, and books can be made to order with a cover to your specifications.
Expandable Notebooks:
This is a new design of notebook, created to allow the pages inside the book to be changed over when the book is finished.
The covers and pages are held together with brass binding posts, which can be simply unscrewed and the pages swopped over.
The notebook comes in an A5 format, with the page holes at hole punch distance. This allows for an easy supply of new paper to go inside, as a folded A4 sheet will fit perfectly into the landscape notebook.Extra packs of recycled paper are available from the workshop to fit both the portrait and landscape formats.
Expandable Photo Albums:
This innovative album is created to allow you to assemble the perfect photo album, with just the right amount of pages that you need. The individual pages are held into the album using brass binding posts, that can be easily unscrewed to allow for pages to be added or removed. Extra page packs are available for each album size. Square Sketchbooks:
These super handy square sketchbooks are a perfect size for ideas on the go - they are 15 x 15 cm, and hand sewn using cream Stockwell 160gsm drawing cartridge paper. They have 64 pages ready to record your ideas and sketches - and like all the Ready Made Range they are highly individual and can be custom made.
Eco - Note Boxes:
These cute noteboxes are a new product that we have started making - they were born out of a need to use the off cuts of paper and board left over from the book making process - and a huge fondness for writing notes to myself on pieces of paper. Each box is an individual, unique piece, and contains lots of pieces of recycled paper ready to hold your vital thoughts... Once all the notes in the box have been used up, you can cut up your own paper to go inside, request more paper from the bindery or use the gorgeous box as a very handy storage place for important things, like pens!
